Our Day at the Hospital

Quick update, Tuesday morning Mikey woke up with a tremendous stomach pain. However we continued getting ready for work, but when we started driving Mikey told me that we needed to go to the InstaCare. As many as you know if Mikey thinks he needs to go to the doctor it is serious. Around 8:00 am we got to the InstaCare and to our unknown knowledge InstaCares don’t open until 9:00. So then we decided to head up to the emergency room. Once we got there the doctors pocked and prodded to determine that he had the symptoms of appendicitis, but more testing was needed to determine that it was appendicitis. They performed a CAT Scan which took a couple hours of prep time. After the CAT Scan which was about noon, they determine that his appendix was indeed infected and needed to be removed before it ruptured. After another few hours of waiting for an operating room to open up, Mikey was taken off to surgery. This past week Mikey has learn that everything you do requires stomach muscles, and he has watched over a dozen movies. He is starting to feel better and we even went out for ice cream last night.
