Our First Baby Due JULY 18th

We are pleased to announce that we are having a baby. We surprised both families with the fun Christmas news. Jeanette has been sick a lot the past month. We are 11 weeks along and are hoping that the sickness subsides soon. Her only cravings so far has been Crown Burgers fries with their fry sauce. I know most of you are concerned that I won't be able to change any diapers. I have been starting slow with a few wet diapers of our nephew Tate's. I have came to the quick realization the more I gag the more I scare the kid and then I need back up. I'll be ready by July, I promise because I can't wait to be a dad.

View from my work!

Normally I let Jeanette do the blog post, but I decided to share this picture and do my first post. I work in the Deseret Book Building downtown the one red building all by itself. We have a great view of temple square on the north side of our building and to the south a giant pit. My view is more of the pit, but today it was a really snowy day and the clouds were very overcast. While looking at the snow with another coworker we took pictures with our cell phones. The clouds managed to open up for this one picture it was the best one.

Crazy

My family has had a daily long discussion on the dancer, but I have finally been able to see it go both ways. Check it out to see what way you can see the dancer go.

Firsts

I am finally updating the Blog. I hope you enjoy it Michelle. Well over the last month I have had some firsts. I went on my first business trip to Las Vegas. It was just a day trip, but I felt like an actual grown up. With my first business trip, I rented my first car. It was a blue Subaru Outback. During, my trip I had some extra time and was able to go shopping at the outlet mall. I wish I could have expensed the shopping trip to Cafe Rio. Last week, I went on second business trip which was overnight. I guess I am finally an adult and have real job. The second first I had was I finished my first quilt. The quilt was for Tyson Randy Pryor, Heidi's baby. It was really fun to make and I have bought fabric for my second quilt. I also started knitting. I worked on it for couples of days, but haven’t touched it for weeks maybe when things calm down a bit I’ll start again. Since I am no longer in school I have tried to be domestic.

Brent & Shanna are finishing their basement so Mike has spent a lot time taping and mudding the dry wall. He has actually gotten pretty good at it so maybe in a few years when he has time to relax from the current job he can help our other family and friends with this new talent. Along with the basement project Mike keeps busy with school work and church stuff. He doesn’t have much time to do anything else.

Since October has started I have taken full advantage of Marie Calendar’s pie month. I believe I have had Marie Calendar’s pie three times, Marie Calendar’s frozen pie once and my mom’s apple pie once. Pie is delicious. I would encourage everyone to go get some pie and enjoy Marie Calendar’s pie month.

The end of summer!

The end of summer is officially here. Mike has now become knee deep in homework. The mornings are getting colder and football season has begun. My poor Utes are starting out the season 0-2. Our last few weeks of summer were spent at the Bees game, where Mike was able to catch a pig and realized that a child is needed to get a baseball toss your way. Can we borrow some ones kid next season that would really make Mike's day. Mike & Scott (our brother-in-law) participated in a home run derby. Mike hit a grand total of 11 home runs!!! Wow. My work had an entire company plus family party. There were a lot of people there, and I realize that I don't know half the people that work for Cafe Rio. Fall has begun and the sweaters will be coming out soon, which is one of my favorite things about the fall. You can starting wearing all the sweaters that have been in the back of the closet since April. Well I hope you are all enjoying the start of Fall.

The 3rd Annual Icecream party

Every year before school starts back up Mike and I host an icecream party for all of the couples in our ward. This year's party was last friday night, and word has really gotten out. We had fourty-seven people in our backyard and ended up running out of icecream. I guess people fill obligated to go when you're the Elder's quorum president. For a short bit of time we felt like we actually have a lot of friends, until Monday night came around and we couldn't get anyone to come to the Bees game with us. Even our family turned us down.

Softball

Softball officially ended a couple of weeks ago, but most of our summer was spent attending softball games. Mike participated in two leagues this summer. His Monday night league was in third place, but his friday night league didn't do so hot, they needed Ross in both leagues. One great accomplishment was that Mikey hit a home run over the fence ( no asterisk will be needed in the record books).

Football Season has started

So this last week has been pretty slow. This is the reason I was hesitant to start the blog because my life can be pretty boring. However, I will recap my week so our lovely friends and family can hear what we did. Last week Mike invited Jackson, our nephew, to sleep over. I think Mikey had as much fun as Jackson. They keep each other entertained with baseball and watching the Key Bank tower fall to the ground. Sunday we had the whole family for dinner, which turned out to be a success. I really enjoyed the triple chocolate cake, yummy. After the dinner we went over to some friends and I learned the fine art of Fantasy Football as Mike assisted Ross in the Fantasy Football draft. Monday night we watched the rematch of the Super Bowl for Ross’s birthday party (The Colts against The Bears for my sisters that have no idea who played in the super bowl). After about five minutes of the game I won my victory and got all the wives to go shopping and I bought a really cute shirt. On Wednesday Mike started school, which will keep him busy until about mid-December. Also our new niece was dilvered the week. Last night we went a saw Oceans 13. I would recommend it to those of you who haven’t seen it. It is better then the second, but not as great as the first one. That was our week nothing too exciting.

Homemade Icecream

We finally broke out dad’s birthday present (which is in March) while he has on vacation. Kellie, Mike and I made homemade ice-cream in the hamster ball. Well it wasn’t a hamster ball, but it looks like one. If you do this activity with kids they will enjoy it for about five minutes and then turn it over to the adults for the remaining twenty-five minutes. The ice-cream did turn out to be delicious. We will have to do it again sometime. Dad when are you going to make brownies in your father’s day gift? I volunteer to eat them.

Thanks!

This is a picture of my mom, Heidi and Randy visiting me after my surgery. During July I had surgery on my Pilonidal cyst which is located on the end of your tailbone. Mine kept getting infected, so the doctors decided to remove it. Thanks everyone for your love, visits and gifts while I was getting better.

Climbing

Before the butt problem Mike and I enjoyed rock climbing. Hopefully we can go out fairly soon!
Look at that butt before the butt job!
Spiderman!

24th of July

Why should I have kids when I already have my little Mikey!

The kids were patiently waiting for the fireworks to begin.

Seattle Trip

Most of you have heard about our vacation, but here are a few pictures.

Mom & Dad thought that the baseball game was going to be Mike's highlight, but during the middle of whale watching Mike told me that whale watching was better then the baseball game.

It was so much fun to hang out with Launie for a few days in Victoria

The fairy left at 6:00 am in the morning which means we woke up at 4:00 am. I was a bit tired that day.

This is beaver lake it is completely full of water lilies. It was a remarkable sight that can't be expressed in a photo.

We think this picture should be an official postcard by Michael

Mom and Dad completely surprised both of us by taking us to the baseball game. We had a blast watching Ichiro play.
